There are many people who benefit from purchasing magazines and also there are many people who take the profit. Here is a list of people who benefit from purchasing magazine and also who take the profit:
-Celebrities
-artist from positive reviews
-stylist
-Photographers
-Camera companies
-computer companies
-software
-Publisher
-writers
-editors
-Paper Company
-lumber company
-Companies/advertisements
-coupon (offers)
-Stores
-Designers (clothing)
-printing company
-transportation company
-Distributor
The list can go on but I think you get the idea of how many people can be involved in getting profit from one magazine. There are many people behind this and to make a magazine there are many steps as you can probably tell and there are also many people involved in making a magazine. Before, this would have never known about how many people are involved in making something because I never thought of it but I’m pretty surprised how so many people can be involved in doing something so little.

Asians Addiction to Surgery

Eye widening has become popular for Asian culture. The first thing Asians notice is their eyes when they look at themselves. They feel that by getting eye widening surgery will make them look more attractive and then their eyes will look like every other person.
I think this surgery is pointless. Paying about $2,500 to $5,000 just to get your eye widened to look like everybody else is not necessary. You look the way you do for a reason and you should accept it. Everybody has something unique about themselves and they should not go change it just because they want to be like everybody else.
I don’t think when you get surgery it makes a difference. I think the eyes look exactly the same. On the other hand, the people who actually get the surgery done know they got the surgery and think their eyes look much better.
People are influenced by other people to get this surgery. If someone in your family got it they will probably tell you to get it done or you will probably want to get it done because you think it makes your eyes look better. Friends can also be another factor for getting this surgery done.
"All my Korean friends had it done just because they wanted bigger eyes," she says. Han, now 18, was encouraged by her grandmother, her mother, and her aunt, all of whom she describes as having naturally large eyes. "Before I got mine done, we used to look at Korean magazines or TV, and all the Korean actresses had big eyes or had had it done. They think it's prettier," she says.
People waste their money on getting this surgery. It’s just so pointless, you should accept the way you are and just live with it. All those other Asians who don’t get the surgery done have to live with their eyes like that and they have no problem doing that, then why do other Asians? Looks aren’t everything. It makes the person who got it done feel better inside because then they can go around saying they got it done but I believe you can’t even tell the difference. They also think they look prettier and more attractive when they get the eye surgery done but changing yourself and your facial features just to looks more attractive and prettier is just a stupid reason. As I have said before, you should just accept the way you are and by yourself and everybody will like you. People don’t look at your eyes and say, “oh yea you need to get your eyes widened because you don’t look attractive or pretty.” People don’t notice those kinds of things, they notice your personality and like you for that.
I just think people shouldn’t waste their time doing surgery, they should just accept they way that are and be who they are not try to look or be like something they aren’t.

Are Comments Acceptable?
“Dumbest bimbos?” “...foolish woman who deserve to be slapped around?”
Media personalities have absolutely no right to say such things because they are just reporters and should say what they are told to say but not negative things and name calling like “Dumbest Bimbos.” Just because Natalie Maine’s in the Dixie Chicks said something about George Bush doesn’t automatically mean she is a bad person and that she actually meant what she said.
Name calling is probably the worst thing ever. You can’t just call someone something when you know it’s not even true because it makes you look bad. You also might not even know them so if you go around calling them names and saying they should be slapped around that’s just ridiculous. Media reporters or news reporters should never make a pointless comment like “Dumbest bimbos?” “...foolish woman who deserve to be slapped around?” I think that is very ignorant. I say; if you don’t have anything nice to say about them, then just don’t say anything.
News reporter’s job is to report news and tell it how it is, not add their little comments about what they think about people and how they should be treated.

Is Rihanna Gone Bad?

19 year old Rihanna born in the Barbados was a normal girl until she came into her singing career. She suddenly changed from and innocent girl into a whole new person.
Rihanna started off being a sweet innocent girl and that’s how people started to portray her, as and “innocent girl.” Rihanna wanted to get out of that shell and change it up a bit.
Rihanna herself said, “I wanted to get out of my innocent, generic shell that everyone is used to molding me into,” says Rihanna in the June/July issue of GIANT magazine. “I was like, ‘to hell with that!’”
As you can probably tell she is sick of her innocent look and she wanted to be something different and wanted people to look at her as a different person as she gets older. When she released her new single Umbrella, she was a whole new person. Her hair was cut shorter which made her look a little older and mature and the clothes she was wearing in her music video where something you would never think she would wear. She wanted to change from an innocent girl to “sexy girl” which she is now.
I think Rihanna went out of her element and did what she wanted. She took risks and people still love her music. I don’t think she is totally gone bad, maybe she has changed a bit but everybody changes when they get older. There are many other party girls like Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton and more but I don’t think Rihanna will go into their kind of world where there is drinking and doing drugs.
Here is Rihannas video from when she first started to sing "If its lovin' that you want"
Here is Rihanna Video Umbrella. Do you think she changed?

Tisdale Gets Nose Job?
You might know Ashley Tisdale from the movie High School Musical or the show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The shocking news is that when she was in Los Angeles she got a nose job! The main reason she got a nose job is because of her health issues. Ashley actually came out and had informed the PEOPLE magazine on Monday from her Los Angeles home and said that, "Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing. The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose."
I think she is brave enough to come forward and tell everybody her problem. Some people think she is lying about this and think that she should just admit that she just got plastic surgery because she didn’t like the way her nose looked. But, I don’t think if she got a nose job for that reason she would not have told everybody. Many other singer get a nose job and don’t tell anybody like Ashley Simpson got a nose job but she never told the media or public, they just found out.
"I didn't do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose," says Tisdale, who's openly discussing the procedure because "I want my fans to know the truth. I'm not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me."
I believe what she is saying is true because somebody who gets nose job for just because they don’t like the certain way one of their facial features are. They don’t go out to the media and tell the whole world that they got a nose job because they didn’t like the way it looked. They keep it to themselves and media just finds out and then they spread the news. Ashley did not do that she actually came forward and told her own side of her story. I don’t think somebody would lie about a problem like this just to cover their true story which could later affect their career.
Ashley actually had health issue and people think she is just saying that to cover her true story but who would lie about health issues? It’s possible she is lying but I don’t think she will because she told everybody everything right after she got it done and she also mentioned that her fans are everything to her. By lying she would lose everything, so I don’t think she would do this to create a problem for herself and her career.
Getting Plastic Surgery is just crazy. Even if you get plastic surgery because you think your nose is not right or if you lip looks too big or small or whatever reason it is. It will never be perfect. I guess the more you look at yourself and criticize your facial features or whatever you don’t like about yourself the more you’re going to want to do something about it.

Another Spear Pregnant!

Britney Spears 16 year old sister is pregnant. You might know her from her show called Zoey 101 and she is known as Zoey in that show which is the main character in that show and she is also known as a role model for many young children.
Some people could not believe that a 16 year old is pregnant with her 18 year old boyfriend Casey Aldridge. This was shocking news for everybody including her mom. Nobody would have ever thought Jamie Lynn Spears would do something like this.
It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," Jamie Lynn told OK, according to the Associated Press. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."
Jamie Lynn Spears also said she didn’t tell her parents first and that she told her friend, "I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision," she told the magazine. "Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."
When Jamie told her mother told the OK magazine that, “I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious, and she’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
Nickelodeon is the channel which broadcasts her TV show Zoey 101 and they said in a statement: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
Some people are arguing about taking the show off air or something because they don’t want their kids to see a 16 year old pregnant girl on television. Parents probably think she can possibly be a bad role model for their kids and give their kids the wrong image of a 16 year old.
I can say I was very shocked myself to hear that she was pregnant. At first, I thought they were rumours but I soon came to believe this. I questioned myself about how an innocent girl at such a young age does something so irresponsible? But, I can say I’m pretty surprised that she is keeping the baby and I think she is brave to do that. She is taking responsibilities of what she did and I think that’s great. At first, Britney Spears was in the news and now I’m guessing Jamie Spears is going to be in media more than Britney. All the media attention is going to go to Jamie Lynn Spears and they are probably going to try to find out if Jamie is the same type of mother Britney is.
Her mother had a book coming about on parenting which has been delayed just because of Jamie Lynn Spears pregannacy news. But, if you think of it would people actually buy the book after all that has happened?

Celebrities thoughts about Bush

“Just so you know, we’re ashamed the president of the United States id from Texas.” This quote was said by Natalie Maines on March 10, 2003 in their convert in London. The crowd cheered her on and laughed about her comment. Although, after the concert this was all over the news and she was being criticized for what she said and how it was negative. Just because Natalie Maines said that comment it hurt her other two group members, Erwin Maguire and Emily Erwin Robison but they hadn’t really said if they agreed to this comment or not.
Natalie made a comment the next day and Maines said, “I feel the president is ignoring the opinion of many in the U.S. and alienating the rest of the world. My comments were made in frustration, and one of the privileges of being an American is you are free to voice your own point of view.”
She also apologized to President Bush because of what she said and here is another quote Maines said, “As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."
Kanye West also spoke out about George Bush and he said, “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people.”This comment was made after Katrina in August of 2005. The Press people set up a poll asking, "Do you think George W. Bush does - or does not - care about black people?" Among blacks, 21 percent say he does and 72 percent say he doesn’t. Among whites, 67 percent say he does and 26 percent say he doesn’t. Overall, 62 percent say he does and 31 percent say he doesn't. As you can see black people obviously are against George Bush and think he doesn’t care about them and most of the white people think he does care about black people. Kanye West was criticized at first but afterwards this was quickly forgotten by people.
Here is a video of what he said...
Pink also spoke out against George Bush in her song called Mr. President. This song was not approved for release as a single in the U.S but Pink was more pleased by the response from her fans and other people and who have created their own videos to accompany it for online broadcaster YouTube. Pink said, "I've been crying my eyes out watching the videos on YouTube (online broadcaster) - that song has a life of its own now. The Civil Liberties Union has now got involved because a 10-year-old was banned from performing it at her elementary school." Pink was glad her fans responded positively and didn’t really care about if they don’t broadcast her song on the TV or radios.
As you can kind of tell, all these three situations were handled absolutely differently. When Natalie spoke out about Bush the media took it harsh on her and made it a big deal and their whole career almost ended just because of one group member who made this one comment. The Dixie Chicks probably got criticized like this because this was probably the first time they said something that offended some people and George Bush. On the other hand, whatever Pink says people don’t really care as much because people have grown to know Pink as a girl who says whatever is on her mind and mostly likely always tells the truth. Kanye West makes a big deal about some things like on the VMAs how he got less time to perform on stage and how Brittany Spears got more time on the stage than him. He is always complaining about something and I assume he will never stop. All three of these artists are different types of singers and have different audiences. Natalie’s comment about Bush was taken to the top unlike Kanye West’s comment about George Bush not caring about black people which was more controversial.
