Media Literacy

Media literacy is important because you need to know what is going on in the world. You need to watch television, the movies and go on internet. You need to experience these things because everybody else is experiencing them. Media is everywhere and if you don’t see it, well you should start to research things and try to understand everything like advertisements and what reason you see certain things for. Media literacy is so important because it is all over the world and if you don’t pay attention to it you missing out and you should actually take some interest in that. Another reason why media literacy is important because you can be fooled by it so that’s why you should be more aware of it.

Successful blogging looks like a blog that has a whole lot of information on it and proof supporting it. The blog should be presentable and catchy so if someone clicked on it they would want to look around because it is attractive. It should also have videos and quotes so proof supporting the article, as I have said before. When you post articles up they should also have catchy headlines and when writing the article, you should always start your paragraph off with telling the five W’s (who, what, when, where, why).

To earn an “A” as a blogger here are 11 ways to have a good blog:

1. Make your opinion known
2. Link like crazy
3. Write less
4. 250 Words is enough
5. Make Headlines snappy
6. Write with passion
7. Include Bullet point lists
8. Edit your post
9. Make your posts easy to scan
10. Be consistent with your style
11. Litter the post with keywords

There are probably many other ways of being an “A” blogger but these are probably the important ones. Some other ones are that you shouldn’t write a one paragraph article because that just looks like too much reading so you should space out the article out nicely so it is more easier to read and looks fun to read. Bloggers should never plagiarize things, they should always make sure they have references to where they got the information if they copied and pasted. Bloggers should also never swear at someone in their articles or anywhere.

Some advantages for blogging are that you can post your own blogs and have other people you don’t even know share their thoughts and opinions about what you wrote. Blog are also easy to create, easy to maintain and blogs give you unlimited space. I think some disadvantages of blogging are that some people are not aware of blogs and people sometimes don’t always comment on blogs. It is possible to have negative press because some people are just negative and say whatever they wish. There can be negative press anywhere you just kind of have to deal with it.
